Having been a nanny for many years and now a mama to my own littles, I have tested out a lot of different products. In this post, I will be sharing the ones that I feel work the best. Whether you’re building your registry for your first babe, or just looking for some different products to try, this list will have something for you!
- Earth Mama Organic Diaper Balm Multipurpose Baby Ointment

This balm is honestly awesome. No artificial fragrances, petroleum, or artificial preservatives. Organic herbs are used to create this smooth solution for your baby’s bum. We love this product for ouches and irritations. My husband and I even use it. This product is even used in some NICUs for those extra fragile preemies. A little of this goes a long way, which makes this product more desirable since you will use less compared to other products. This balm is as smooth as your baby’s bottom should be (and will be after use). Buy it now on Amazon: https://a.co/d/7CHyDgz
2. Dr. Brown’s Pacidose Pacifier and Liquid Baby Medicine Dispenser with Oral Syringe with Two Sizes of Pacifier Bulbs – 0-6m and 6-18m

This. Product. Rocks. Neither of my boys were agreeable to medication before the age of 1.5. We tried putting medicine in bottles, mixed it in with food, etc. This was the only way to get their medications down the hatch. We still use this for our youngest for those few meds that you just can’t make appealing. A real pro of this product is that it works with most syringes, no matter the brand. This is one of my go-to presents for baby shower gifts. It’s incredibly useful, and something a new mama may not realize she needs until her baby’s already started missing doses of medication. 3. Contours Glow Motion Sensing Light-Up Changing Pad for Dresser or Changing Table

Can y’all say, “game changer?” If you’re like me, you never thought about those middle of the night changes and how much turning on a light could make a difference when it comes to getting your little one back to sleep. This is a great solution to the problem! It has motion/darkness sensors. Being able to see down there means you don’t have to worry if you cleaned everything off their little bums. You can dim the lights and manually turn them off as well (who doesn’t like options?). With its soft and super-easy-to-clean material, you can skip buying (and continuously changing) pad covers. The safety strap and anchoring option (screw included) make you feel good knowing your baby is safe during those rolls-poly stages. I also really like that it’s battery operated because I hate having to arrange my furniture based on where outlets are. Buy it now on Amazon (https://a.co/d/0MsGzg7)
4. Orzbow Foldable Travel Potty Chair, Toddler Potty Seat

Potty training is HARD. This potty training seat makes it super easy if you plan on ever leaving your house again while teaching them to use the potty. It comes in different colors: blue, pink, and gender neutral gray. The leg design makes it more sturdy than competing models, as the legs click into place, giving you peace of mind. It’s a great height for littles, so they feel comfortable sitting on it. What’s extra cool about this specific seat? It is easily transforms from a portable potty to a potty seat! This is great because you don’t have to buy multiple products. It’s very easy to transport, as well, complete with it’s own travel bag (included). They even send you 40 disposable bags (because nobody wants to be cleaning out a potty on the side of the road)! Buy now on Amazon (https://a.co/d/d73fK7O)
5. NeilMed NasaBulb

This is something that every parent or caregiver will need. What makes this better than others? It’s clear! Just thinking of all the gross snot that goes into these things makes my skin crawl. Why you ask? Because what if you didn’t get all the germy slime of out there! I love how inexpensive this product is. We prefer this brand because we know it’s able to be safely sterilized, it’s shape is better for those tiny little button noses, and it comes from a trusted brand. 6. Frida Baby Breathefrida Vapor Bath Drops

If you haven’t heard of fridababy, you should definitely look their products up! This is one of our go-to products when our kids start to sniffle. A few drops of this into a bath or a diffuser will soothe your little one. We use this religiously in our household when anyone has a cold. My husband and I will even throw some in the diffuser in our bedroom when we are under the weather. A huge pro: it actually smells good! We have gifted this product to countless friends and family members. We love that it’s organic and safe for 3 months and up. During cold and flu season, I subscribe and save through Amazon so we’re never without it. Buy it now on Amazon (https://a.co/d/ggxeX1J)
