This was one of the first recipes I learned from my mom. It was the first meal I ever made for my husband, and he still loves it 10 years later. This is one of my go-to meals for guests, or whenever I need to keep it simple.
Ingredients:
- Johnsonville Hot Italian sausage, 1 pack
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3-4 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into bite-site pieces
- Salt and pepper, to taste (I 1/4 teaspoon of each)

Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Cut each sausage into 5 pieces.
- Mix the onion, potatoes and bell pepper in a 9×13 casserole dish. Layer the sausage pieces on top. Sprinkle salt and pepper on top.
- Bake for 1 hour, until potatoes are tender, making sure to stir every 15-20 minutes.
